Don’t be surprised that Curacao's lovely urban environment also offers a variety of beach escapes, where you can laze and do nothing or swim, snorkel and dive.

Almost all Curacao beaches are scattered along the calm southwestern coast, where the waters are clear as glass. These range from shady refuges to sun filled spots brimming with activities.

Blue Bay Beach, just northwest of Willemstad, offers lots of facilities. Soft white sand makes it s a popular spot. Caracasbaa, wonderful for snorkeling and diving, has coarse sand and pebbles and little places to dine.

Curacao's longest and whitest beach is on Klein Curacao, an uninhabited island eight miles off the southeast coast. Dive operators and charter boats offer excursions there.

Discover a pristine view from above Playa Forti with the fishing boats bobbing on the water. Here you'll find coarse brown sand and tiny smooth pebbles.

Playa Kalki a, small cove, is another favorite for snorkeling and diving, Playa Lagunis is very calm and shallow near shore, with excellent snorkeling. It’s child friendly for beginning swimmers who may want to learn to snorkel too.

Playa Porto Mari is a beautiful sandy bay on the private estate of Plantages.

Seaqarium Beach, next door to the seaquarium, provides many amenities to enhance its palm trees and soft white sand.
