Forget store bought mass marketed cards this holiday season Give a CASA card instead, and celebrate creativity and philanthrophy at the same time.
CASA cards, created by elementary and high school stutdents throughout the Virgin Islands, are sold by the Court Appointed Special Adovate's office (CASA) to raise money for its program to help abused and negelcted children in the territory.CASA is appointed by the Court to be the child’s voice during court proceedings for children placed in foster care. CASA is a national program and CASA of the Virgin Islands has been on St Croix since 1993.
All the proceeds from the sale of the cards stay in the Virgin Islands.
CASA cards can be sent anytime, but during the winter holidays they shine, with original art- rasta and lizard santas, boats and beaches decked with ornaments and fine fancy from the pens of children.
This is the 13th year CASA has been selling its cards. Each is hand drawn by a student and donated to the CASA program. The purchase of the cards supports the spirit of the holidays.
Cards are sold to businesses and individuals, often customized with logos or personal expressions.
Cards are offered with 12 to a pack for $15. Packs are solid with one image or assorted images. CASA also sells a line of blank notecards, which can be used year round for all occasion greetings.
